  Upcoming Happenings...
February 8: Regular Meeting

Speaker: Sheila and Megan Gottschall
Sponsor: Dan Cardinale
Topic: People to People - goals and mission

February 15: Interclub Meeting

Perkins
6:15pm

Speaker:  Nitin Laud, Founder & Coordinator, Youth Career Exploration Program
Sponsor:  Phil Weber

Topic: Nitin will talk about his work in helping students find careers that compliment their ambitions and personal characteristics.

Nitin Laud holds a Bachelor's and a Master's in Physics, both from India. In 1990, he came to the US for graduate studies and received a Master's in Computer Science from Ohio University. Since then, during the 17 years of professional career in Information Solutions, he has held many diverse positions.

Outside of work, Nitin volunteers for many ethnic, educational and community service organizations. In January of last year, he started the youth career exploration program. It has not only become a new mission of his life but has also provided an opportunity to connect his personal interests, abilities and experience from both professional and voluntary background. He believes our children's success depends on the four pillars of support: parents, teachers, friends & families and neighbors & community. All of them have a responsibility of making these children into better adults. By assisting children in their search of a career he intends to be a contributing member of those four pillars of support.

Meetings consist of dinner, a program, and brief business proceedings.  Program topics vary, but most are chosen to expose members to new ideas: local, state, and national issues; and fresh perspectives on our community.

Socially, we hold periodic spouse's nights, picnics, and other parties.  Opportunities for fellowship moments exist before and after each meeting.

The Emmaus Kiwanis Club is a long time member of this and surrounding communities.  We have been an active and vital part of our community since we were organized on December 30, 1951.

  Chapter Committees

The strength of any Kiwanis Chapter is derived from the dedication of its members and its adherence to an effectively functioning committee structure.  Check out the Emmaus Kiwanis Committees.
