  Who Are We....

The Kiwanis Club of Emmaus looks outward as well as inward.  It reaches out to attract members from the greater Emmaus and East Penn community, people of high moral character and concern for human betterment.  Inwardly, it offers its members personal growth through hearty fellowship and teamwork, and encourages the formation of strong friendships.  And it turns outward again, using this teamwork to deliver an extensive program of civic and benevolent services.  It is an outstanding example of comradeship and volunteerism is action.

Club membership includes men and women in a wide range of occupations.  Thus, members become personally acquainted with people of good standing in many vocations with varied backgrounds and experience.

  Some Specifics....

As a service organization, Kiwanis depends on member participation.  Also, teamwork and friendship cannot develop without interaction of the members.  Therefore, attendance at meetings is expected of all active members.  We know that personal and professional commitments may require periodic absence from meetings.  Opportunities exist for compensating for this by participating in club projects, attending meetings of the Board of Directors, or attending "interclub" meetings at one of the twelve Kiwanis clubs in the area.

Members select the committees on which they choose to work.  These committees originate, plan and implement the Club's service projects.

  What We Do....
