50/50 Drawing - Sales of Tickets Underway

The Emmaus Kiwanis 50/50 drawing ticket sale is currently underway.  There are wonderful monetary prizes, first prize is $300.  Ten prizes of various amounts will be awarded at the club meeting on September 1, 2010. Get your tickets in on time for the great 50/50 drawing. Contact your local Emmaus Kiwanian or telephone 610 965-0097.

Officers and Board of Directors Installation - Wed, Sep 22

The annual Officers Installation Dinner will be held on Wednesday, September 22 at the VFW Hall, Main Street, Emmaus starting at 6:00pm.  Dinner choices and prices will be coming shortly.  Cash bar.  Contact Renee Wetherhold for reservations.

October 2,15 - Annual Craft Fair at BECA.  cost is $1.00 and runs from 9am to 3pm.  Great crafters including Turstee Rosemary McFee, food, raffle and the event is handicapped accessible. 
Allentown Salisbury - Bus trip to Mohegan Sun Casino
October 10 - Trip Chair Bill Norton advises they will leave at 9:45am and return by 7:00pm.  Cost is $30.00 and you will receive your bus trip, $40.00 in slot "comps" and a free buffet luncheon.  to make reservations (deadline is 9/29) or more information contact Bill at 610-791-0186.  One attendee commented he "...went on the last trip - they did a nice job and it was great." 
Allentown Northeast - Bus Trip Cleopatra Exhibit in Philadelphia

October 24 - Exhibit will be at the Franklin Institute and the cost is $69.00 for adults - Senior adults is $65.00 and children 12 and under the fee is $60.00.  For more information and/or tickets contact Andrea at 610-740-3417 or Roland at 610-264-1001.

 

Meetings consist of dinner, a program, and brief business proceedings.  Program topics vary, but most are chosen to expose members to new ideas: local, state, and national issues; and fresh perspectives on our community.

Socially, we hold periodic spouse's nights, picnics, and other parties.  Opportunities for fellowship moments exist before and after each meeting.

The Emmaus Kiwanis Club is a long time member of this and surrounding communities.  We have been an active and vital part of our community since we were organized on December 30, 1951.
